Alien or Human? (Hoax)
At around 9:00 p.m. on March 1st, 1994 in Ontario, Canada, a farmer by the last name of Miller found something alien in his chicken barn. There had been an earlier explosion, and he came to see what had caused it. An object had fallen from the sky, causing a hole in his chicken barn, which he wasn't so happy about. However, the inspection of the unknown object that had fallen was futile, as steam covered up the object for quite a few minutes to come. During this time, the farmer called the local authorities and demanded assistance, in case it was something hostile or violent. Within 15 mins, the local sheriff and his men arrived but the group had to wait 45 mins until the steam cleared off. Of course, during this time, word got out that there had been a meteorite or something from space and reporters started to flock in.
As the reporters were being held back from the crash site, enough of the steam that had previously surrounded the unknown object was cleared away, allowing for a much clearer vision of what had crashed. Once visible however, people all around the crash site started to panic and scream, with a few reporters being brave enough to capture pictures of the object.... or I should say person.... Although some researchers believe the baby found that night is not human, no evidence exists that they're proven correct. However, it is clear that during this present era, the baby has grown to be one of the most young influential singers of the world, Justin Bieber.

Extended Metaphor Poem
Love is a roller coaster ride without insurance
So once you start, there's no assurance
That you'll come out of there
In one piece fair
The damage would be painful
No matter how careful
One may be in doing so
Recovery, however is possible
No matter how impossible
The outcome might not have been expected
Even though you were meant to be connected
Though, on the bright side
It might've been a fun ride
That one may repeat again
Just to be with you again
So once you start, there's no assurance

The damage would be painful
No matter how careful
One may be in doing so
Recovery, however is possible
No matter how impossible

Random Poem about some character thingy (Character Poem)
Gatsby, Gatsby, Gatsby
The one from humble beginnings
But ended up beginning
To get entangled in an mess
That will put him to rest
Oh Gatsby, Oh Gatsby
The one who advanced too quickly
Up a ladder that he could not climb
So once he was dead, which was a crime
The one he loved, forgot him quickly
And in the end, one cannot conclude
How much Nick had been renewed
The one from humble beginnings
But ended up beginning
To get entangled in an mess
That will put him to rest
Oh Gatsby, Oh Gatsby
The one who advanced too quickly
Up a ladder that he could not climb
So once he was dead, which was a crime
The one he loved, forgot him quickly
And in the end, one cannot conclude

Book Poem Thingy
One year at home
Explained it all to me
But, like a fool
I forgot about it
And now apparently
It's been about seventy years
Since I was here last
Do you see now?
And I come back
And find an old, old man.

Sound Poem
Boom, boom, boom
Was it you whom
Made that sound?
Perhaps it was over that mound
As the boom came over a distance
Sounding as if it were non-existent
Of course being compared to a boom
at noon
Because it may be the only sound
Before your the end of your round
Was it you whom
Made that sound?
Perhaps it was over that mound
As the boom came over a distance
Sounding as if it were non-existent
Of course being compared to a boom
at noon

Bull Durham Credo Poem
I believe in the love at first sight
the trust that holds friendships and relationships together
the unnecessary continuation of wars and conflicts
the equality of all human beings
the uselessness of tests,
exams, studying, memorization
but the belief that one's fate or outcome is unchangeable is just ridiculous
I believe in the tolerance of religion
I believe in true love
I believe in the qualities of a good man
Wisdom, courage, and perseverance
And I believe in the truth being even harder to believe and follow than a lie.

Topic 2 Response
Yes, it is possible for someone to be as bad as the worst and as good as the best at the same time. This is so because let's that for example that you are a teacher. Your teaching methods are inexperienced and not effective for the students. However, at the same time, you can teach your students values, or you may be extremely friendly and hardworking, thus your students will work hard in your classes and that can be missing in another teacher who has excellent teaching methods and is extremely experienced at teaching.
I think this statement has already been interpreted in many ways, such as in Eminem's music or songs. He raps about being an incredible rapper and successful after working hard, but is a terrible father to the family after he became a successful rapper, as he spends really little time with his family. Also, being as bad as the worst and as good as the best doesn't apply to just one category. For example, I can be an excellent chemistry student, as good as the best, but I can be a terrible student at math, as bad as the worst. Lastly, Lil Wayne also expresses this sort f statement in his music. He talks about his dad a lot, saying that he was an incredibly bad dad for not spending time with him, but was a pretty successful man in his work. No one is perfectly the best at something and everyone has a weak area of study or life that they aren't as good in that compared to the other fields of study that they are excellent in.

One's Self I Sing
Firstly, before I get started on my interpretation of the poem, I certainly think that we should break it down a bit, or paraphrase. The poem starts off with a focus on individuality, and then goes on with democracy and the people's character, or personality. I see how this poem was quite famous in the past and still is. It represents everything that we stand, or want to stand for, which would be things mentioned such as equality of gender, freedom of individuals and the experiences of life.
I also think that this poem is trying to do something more than just spread ideas of what we stand for. The poem has a sense of urgency, or action, of wanting the readers to do something of the values mentioned in the poem. Whether it be just upholding the values mentioned, or whether it is acting actively in protecting those values, it depends on the reader. Such a poem deserves to be re-read again and again, as it's meaning can drastically change the way a person thinks about the values mentioned and their importance.

Hallelujah
Hallelujah is a song that I've sang quite a few times at my church. I'm quite familiar with the melody of the song, despite all the different versions of the song. At certain times of the song, I feel happy and joyful, while at other times of the song, I feel incredibly sad and regretful. Sometimes, the change between the two songs is sudden and at other times it is a slow process. I personally love the song and it's originality, not only in terms of it's song, but it's impact on others as people sing the song.
Despite the fact that this song is considered a quite religious song, I bed to differ as I knew this song even before I became more into my religion. I believe this song has the potential to reach people that are in trouble, or lost and confused, whether religious or not. It is also a good song to sing to be reflective of past doings and regrets, as most of the time we try and not think of them but this song brings up those hidden and regretful thoughts and past deeds. The song itself is beyond famous today, and I believe that it will continue to grow and impact people all throughout the world.

Who's That Pokemon - Poem
Cute, but can bite back
Little, but can be powerful
As strong as mew
He can win your battles
with just a few bubbles
As strong as hydropump
He knows how to have fun
Never stops having fun, and in fact,
There's your anti-depressant
Cute, but can bite back
So desperate for attention
That he'll bite your ass off just for fun
So, I've told a million times
"Want to be Pokemaster?"
"Pick him! It's Totodile for you"

As strong as hydropump
He knows how to have fun
Never stops having fun, and in fact,
There's your anti-depressant
Cute, but can bite back
So desperate for attention
That he'll bite your ass off just for fun

Literary Analysis of "Out, Out-"
The speaker in this poem happens to be the author, in a third person view. The setting is in Vermont, America, and it happens to be in a forest sort of place, with trees around. Lastly, the kind of audience that the speaker is speaking to should be basically everyone, as it isn't inappropriate in any way.
So, what happens in the poem is that there is a guy, chopping down trees, making dust and logs for use while being noisy with the saw. Then, his sister brings calls him for supper and the boy accidentally chops his hand off. The boy is taken to the hospital where the doctors think they could do something for him. He dies, and then no one apparently cares, going back to their affairs.
My literary analysis of the poem is that this poem is tells us the reality of life and how hard and controlled it is. I had the privilege to research about Robert Frost while under the dominion of Ms. Hampton ( I kid ), and looking at his life, it wasn't an easy one. This poem is trying to say that we are born into this world, grow up, start to work with or without previous education, continue living while doing things like "supper" everyday and eventually make a mistake that will be the end of you, and if that happens then no ones cares about you anymore. It is trying to show the readers the hard part of life, or it's trying to make the readers realize that we are being machines at the moment, everyday being the same and most lives being the same as well. He wants the readers to be able to realize this cycle of life that is being imprinted on every person as the "normal" way to live life. He does not say whether it is bad or good, but points the weaknesses and strengths of both sides, like at the end when he wrote " And they, since they were not the one dead, turned to their affairs."

First Poetry Assignment
Poetry
Poetry is the art of expressing oneself in complicated words and sentences that must have some sort of rhyming to be effective as a poem and can be as short as a few sentences and as long as the Bible itself.
Poems can be quite fun to read.
More than one interpretation.
Can be short and to the point.
Some are quite deep and meaningful.
Interesting rhyming involved.
Can be time consuming.
Some have overly complicated English.
Quite hard to get to the point of the poem at times.
Many are dull and boring.
Unnecessary rhyming that can confuse the readers.
Standing Alone, Chase
I can see the flower upon which my life grows, blooming into a rose.
See the hope and courage in the strength of the petals.
As long as I am, I will be.
The flower will never wilt or die.
As my life grows back, I shall become strong.
I shall become only dependent on one.
That one will be me.
I will rise with my petals high.
My life as a flower will bloom and prosper as I grow.
I may not be the pick of the patch, but I am just as beautiful as the rest.
I will stand as one, but not a lonely soul.
The tears will be far from my smile.
Just Hold Me, Jeanelle
Not many have ever known
and if I tell - who would believe?
There's nothing I can call my own
not even the things I have achieved.
It's always better that way
All that is aching inside
It's better for it to stay -
covered up with hurt's pride.
All in good time
I will open the gate
of this little heart of mine
in a moment of fate.
For a soul that's been torn and
a heart controlled by other
there's not much you can do
But to hold me in your arms -
my dearest Mother.
Treasures We Own, Stacy Smith
When my hand is wrinkled so,
it's you that I will still want you know.
As my hair turns silver and gray
remember me as I was yesterday.
My long red hair blowing in the breeze,
we loved each other with ease.
Now in the park your hand I hold,
you keep me warm as it turns cold.
We sit on a bench and feed the birds,
not a single word needs to be heard.
Remembrances of years gone by,
we both smile...we both sigh.
Remembering our first glance,
and for hours how we danced.
The flowers you gave to me for no reason,
and the little things you did every season,
made me a believer in true love.
The kind that's been blessed from above.
Our children have grown and left our home,
all those memories we now own.
A treasure of love is between two hearts,
nothing has ever torn them apart.
Our love has stood the test of time,
we are still together our souls entwined.
Until the day we shall pass from here,
eternally we are one soul my dear.
